World of Coffee — San Diego

Nepal Coffee on the Global Stage

Nepal coffees can stand confidently on the global specialty stage.

A Week of Conversations,
Cuppings, and Connection

World of Coffee San Diego was more than an exhibition for us. It was an opportunity to place Nepal origin coffees directly into the hands of some of the most respected roasters and quality teams in specialty coffee.

Across meetings, cuppings, and long conversations, we shared coffees produced across the Himalayan foothills with professionals who spend their lives searching for distinctive and expressive coffees.

What stood out most was the consistency of the feedback. Roasters spoke about sweetness, structure, fruit character, clarity, and clean processing. More importantly, they spoke about possibility. About Nepal becoming an origin the industry could no longer overlook.

The Cup Led the Conversation

Buyers and roasters responded to the coffees with honesty and curiosity. Washed lots were praised for balance, sweetness, and elegant structure, while anaerobic lots opened conversations around tropical fruit expression, fermentation, and experimentation.

Several roasters expressed interest in future sourcing relationships and continued dialogue around Nepal coffees. The conversations moved naturally beyond scores and tasting notes into transparency, producer relationships, logistics, and long term collaboration.

For us, that mattered most. Not just recognition in the cup, but genuine interest in building something meaningful around Nepal coffee.
